Abstract

When steel products C are conveyed, each cylinder 13 is actuated to raise damper 1 to the total height of the upper limit height of the walking beam and the thickness of products C, and by actuating cylinder 13 again in a state where products C are charged under damper 1, damper 1 is mounted on products C. Since the downward load of damper 1 is relieved by balance weight 9, as the walking beam moves upward and forward, products C rise and move forward while rotating rollers 2 under damper 1. Thus, products C are conveyed into heating furnace A.
