Abstract

PURPOSE: To advance fermentation efficiently while preventing a water-soluble additive used for methane fermentation from flowing away, by gradually eluting it by holding the additive with a porous carrier.
CONSTITUTION: In a methane fermenting method for the anaerobic fermentation of organic waste products, a water-soluble additive, such as urea and ammonium hydrogenphosphate which accelerats the fermentation is held with a porous carrier, such as foamy cement and foamy urethane, then said products are supplied to a fermenting tank. The additive is gradually eluted to react upon germs effectively, thus advancing the fermentation efficiently.
