Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the buoyancy of floaters and convey a striplike material stably by providing support rolls on the inlet and outlet sides of a cooling zone in a continuous painting and baking device disposed with a drying zone, a baking zone and a cooling zone in series.
CONSTITUTION: A drying zone A, a baking zone B and a cooling zone C are disposed in series on a plane. A striplike material 1 right after painting is conveyed in the drying zone A while being lowered of a height level gently in a suspended state from the coating roll 6 provided to the outside of the inlet of the zone A. In the baking zone B, floaters 5 which blow out hot wind are provided and the material 1 is conveyed horizontally in a floating state. In the cooling zone C, support rolls 8, 7 are provided respectively at the outlet thereof and the boundary with the baking zone and the material 1 is conveyed in a suspended state. Since the material 1 is auxiliarily supported by the rolls 8, 7 in this way, the buoyancy of the floaters is reduced and further the material is conveyed in a stable state.
