Abstract
PURPOSE:To make an adaptive equalizer high-precision, by adding the communication line impulse response estimating function to the adaptive equalizer to make it possible to calculate all iterative equations. CONSTITUTION:Control circuit 5 adds the function, by which the communication line impulse response is estimated, to the function of the control circuit which changes the characteristic of filter 2 on the basis of the error between the output of transversal filter 2 and the output of quantizing circuit 3. Impulse response Pj of the communication line including the matched filter is shown in the waveform figure. Assuming that receiving code aj is equal to the transmission code, Pj can be obtained because the number of Pjs required for these simultaneous equations is 2M+1 and the number of equations is 2M+1 also in respect to output qj of the communication line including the matched filter. Consequently, all iterative equations are obtained by calculation.
