Abstract
PURPOSE:To discharge the developer always at a constant rate by providing a rigid replenishing roller provided opposedly to a replenishing port in a hopper housing the developer and a scraper body in the replenishing port. CONSTITUTION:The developer (a) in a hopper 9 is conducted to the replenishing port 12 side by sticking in the recesses of the ruggedness 14 on the peripheral surface of a replenishing roller 13. The developer (a) conducted to the outside is further scrapped off in contact with a scraper body 15 along with the rotation of the roller 13, and is discharged into the case 1 of the developing device 1. The effect of the scraping is accomplished mainly by the leading ends of short-sized wire materials 16, and the long-sized wire materials 16 are vibrated by the ruggedness 14 by the rotation of the roller 13. The developer (a) is agitated by the vibrations thereof. Since the roller 13 is of a rigid material, the developer (a) of just the fixed amount corresponding to the shape of the ruggedness 14 of its peripheral surface sticks, and the rate of discharging of the developer (a) by the rotation of the roller 13 is a constant rate having no variance, thus the developer is discharged accurately into the case 1.
