Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the efficient control of an air amount supplied to a combustion chamber by providing a photosensor for sensing the light of a burning flame and producing a signal in response to the quantity of the light and controlling the supply of the combustion air in accordance with the signal.
CONSTITUTION: A photosensor 4 having a detector 5, an optical fiber 6 and a photoreceptor 7 is provided in a combustion chamber 1, and is connected through an electrical wire 8 to a control device 9. When a fuel knob (not shown) is turned to vary a fuel flow rate and the quantity of the light of the flame in a combustion room 3 thus varies, the photosensor 4 will detect the variation and will produce a signal to the control device 9. Then, a controller 12 in the control device 9 produces a signal, which controls the rotational frequency of a combustion fan motor 2 through a wire 13. Thus, the motor 2 will supply the combustion air in response to the fuel flow rate to the combustion chamber 3. The responsiveness of supplying the flow rate of the air can be thus accelerated, and an optimum air flow rate can be always controlled.
