Abstract
PURPOSE: Gaseous active principles, a porous adsorbent and a subliming substance are combined to produce a gradually releasing composition used for insecticidal and fungicidal purpose, because it can uniformly release gaseous active principles of various kinds for a long time.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A gaseous active principle such as ethylene, methyl bromide, ethylene oxide, chlorine or formamide is adsorbed on (B) 100pts.wt. of a porous adsorbent such as a zeolite and they are mixed with (C) 5W500pts. of a subliming hydrocarbon and/or a subliming and polar compound in the melted state to produce the objective gradually releasing composition. As a hydrocarbon for component C, is used adamantan, endo-trimethylenenorbornane, cyclododecane, norbornane, trimethylnorbornane or naphthalene. As a polar compound, is used dimethyl fumarate, ε-caprolactam, p-dimethoxybenzene, benzoic acid, trioxymethylene or coumarin.
