Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled evaporating material, capable of evaporating an expellent, effectively and for a prolonged duration, with decreased thermal decomposition of the drug due to an excessively temperature, and comprising a heat evaporating expellent against harmful organisms, CaO, a compound containing water of crystallization which generates heat in contact with CaO and a compound, e.g. trans- stilbene.
CONSTITUTION: An evaporating material comprising (A) a heat evaporating expellent against harmful organisms, (B) calcium oxide, (C) a compound containing water of crystallization which is a solid at normal temperature and has the ability to generate heat in contact with the calcium oxide and (D) a compound which is a solid at normal temperature and melts at a lower temperature than the maximum one attained on contact of (B) with (C), e.g. trans-stilbene or phenyl benzoate. The maximum temperature attained and duration can be optionally controlled by selecting the kind, weight ratio and type of the heat generating components, and permit various uses as the evaporating material. Water is unnecessary, and the components are mixed simply by shaking.
