The solid ink 23 can be moved in the direction rectangular to the surface of the ribbon 11, and is pushed and contacted to the heating body 22 through the ribbon 11 when a thermal head 12 is conducted. The heating body 22 also generates heat when the thermal head 12 is conducted, heats the solid ink 23 through the ribbon 11 and melts the ink.
