Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide an excellent function for a Josephson switching element by forming the first strip line on a grounding substrate and forming the second strip line in the state extending on a heat conductive tunnel layer. CONSTITUTION:This element is composed of a structure in which a strip line 2 is formed through an insulating layer 21 on a grounding substrate 1, a strip line 2 is buried in other insulating layer 23 having a window 22, a superconductive tunnel layer 4 and hence a tunnel junction 3 is formed in a window 22 with an oxidized layer of the region confronting the window 22 of the line 22, a strip line 5 is formed through the window 22 on the layer 23 in the state extending on a superconductive tunner layer 4, is furthe buried in the other insulating layer 24 and a control line 6 is formed on the layer 24. According to this structure, the ratio of the maximum superconductive current to the minimum normal conductive current expressing the propriety of the switching element can be increased.
