Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform toner replenishment by a touch of the operator's finger by providing a slender hollow vessel which houses toner powder in the inside and is provided with a toner powder discharge port extending in the longitudinal direction and a driving member to mount a toner housing tank from above. CONSTITUTION:An opening part 3 through which the magnetic toner powder 3 can be discharged smoothly is formed to a slender cylindrical vessel 1 consisting of a nonmagnetic material such as paper or plastics to the desired replenishing length of the developing device in the length extending in the longitudinal direction on the outside circumference thereof. The toner cartridge of the above-mentioned constitution is so arranged as to be inserted into a toner box 9 from above in the state that the opening part 2 is facing upward, after it is stripped of its sealing member. Thereby, the toner cartridge can be mounted from above the developing device, the mounting space is less and the toner replenishing is accomplished by a touch of the operator's finger.
