Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the best focus point by displaying a focus adjusting pattern on the display surface of a CRT, detecting the width of its pattern by a photoelectric converter, and adjusting the focus voltage so as to minimize the pattern width by said detection signal. CONSTITUTION:A focus adjusting pattern signal is generated from the TV electronic circuit 2 and a cross hatch pattern for adjusting the focus is made to reflect on the display surface 1a of the CRT1 by said adjusting pattern signal. The width of this reflected pattern is detected by the photoelectric converter 3X, 3Y, and the detection signals are sent out to the signal processing circuit 4. The detection signals from the converters 3X, 3Y are made binary, respectively, by this circuit 4, the mean value of both signals is derived by a binary signal corresponding to the cross pattern width, and this mean value is made a focus signal, which is input to the control circuit 5. And, a control signal for making the pattern minimum is provided to the focus circuit 6, the circuit 5 is controlled by the output of the circuit 6, to derive the best focus point.
