Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to suitably measure the weight of the wheel even when the advancing direction of the wheel is varied by installing left and right wheel weight detectors in deviated manner so that their outputs are overlapped, and judging the entering direction of the wheel by flip-flops and reading the wheel value of a peak retainer.
CONSTITUTION: Wheel weight detectors 4L and 4R for detecting the weights of left and right wheels of the vehicle 1 are installed in deviated manner so that the wheel weight detectors are overlapped. The wheel weight signals are supplied through amplifiers 5a and 5b to shaping circuits 6a and 6b, and the output signals thereof are supplied to the flip-flops 8a and 8b through AND circuits 11a and 11b thereby to cause any of the flip-flops 8a and 8b to generate an output signal depending upon the advancing direction of the vehicle 1, and data of the peak retainers 14a and 14b are read in a processing part 15 where the data are processed. Further, when, by the operations of delay circuits 10a and 10b, the wheel 2 stops on the detectors 4L and 4R and returns, and the output of the AND circuit 11 becomes low so that the wheel weight values of the peak retainers 14a and 14b are not read out. By these procedures, even when the advancing direction of the vehicle varies in whatever manner, the wheel weight can be measured appropriately.
