Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a gas leak from a side clearance by sandwiching an elastic end plate between a cylinder and a frame and/or between the cylinder and a cylinder head.
CONSTITUTION: A high-pressure gas flowing through a bearing of a frame 3 or a cylinder head 4 and a clearance of a crankshaft 7 works as a high pressure on an elastic end plate 13 set between the frame 3 and a cylinder 2 and also on a clearance of the frame 3 or the cylinder head 4, and meanwhile a low-pressure gas in the cylinder 2 works as a low pressure on counter side of the back of the end plate 13. The end plate 13 thus bends with a portion fixed with the frame 3 or the cylinder head 4 and the cylinder 2 as a supporting point and works to prevent a gas leak through a side clearance between a rolling piston 8 and the frame 3.
