Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the number of lead wires and terminal pins by a construction wherein a driving stator winding and a rotor position detecting stator winding are used in combination, and a position detecting coil is eliminated.
CONSTITUTION: Rotor 8 position detecting lead wires 6c, 6c' are drawn out of the center of driving stator windings 6a, 6a' and also the center of 6b, 6b' and led into an oscillator circuit 27. A high frequency signal arising in the oscillator circuit 27 is transmitted to a stator winding 6 consisting of two phases, a high frequency component is magnetically modulated according to which phase of the two-phase stator winding 6 does a nonmagnetic material 8' come under according to a rotor position, and semiconductor elements 29a, 29b in a driving circuit 28 are actuated. By eliminating a rotor position detecting coil, the number of lead wires and terminal pins can be decreased, thus decreasing cost and simplifying assembly.
