Abstract

PURPOSE:To reinforce the mechanical strength of a circuit substrate and a main plate and to keep the precision of the position, in the electronic watch having hands and electro-optical display, by providing a support for liquid crystal cell and fixing said circuit substrate to the main plate. CONSTITUTION:A window is provided in a hand type face 101. The liquid crystal cell 201 which is one device in the electro-optical display is fixed to the support 203 through said window. The support 203 is fixed to the circuit base plate 104. A flexible circuit base plate 105 electrically connects the liquid cell 201 and the circuit substrate 104 by soldering, thermal compression, or the like. The main plate 107 which supports ring trains 106 and the circuit base plate 104 are fixed with an electric insulating sheet 108 being held inbetween, and the strength of both devices are reinforced to each other. The liquid cell support 203 is used as a light conductor wherein light from a lamp 202 is diffused and conducted, and a reflecting plate is formed on a lower surface 204.
