Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce leakage of gas from a rotary valve at the time of bringing out particle/pulverized substance and to lessen wear of the casing by installing the intake and exhaust holes displaced from the axis of the rotor of rotary valve.
CONSTITUTION: This rotary valve has such a construction that the ends of intake and exhaust holes 21, 31 are in line with the normal line of the rotor shaft 4A of a rotor 5. That is to say, in the illustration, they are displaced to the right from the normal line of the rotor shaft 4A. Accordingly, number of contacts of the casing 1 with the tips 6 of the blades 4B of rotor 5 after exhaust of particle/pluverized substance 7 can be increased by making said number asymmetric to the right and left seen from the side of the rotor 5 at an arbitrary moment of rotor's rotation. This increase of contacts will contribute greatly to lessening gas leakage with increased resistance.
