Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to transmit serial data at a high rate by writing and transmitting data regarding adjustment items, etc., generated by a camera control unit only when the data is changed from the preceding data. CONSTITUTION:Camera control unit (CCU)10 and camera head unit (CHU)20 are provided with computers respectively, and CCU10 generates data regarding adjustment items and control items, which are stored in memory 14 and also transmitted to CHU20. The storage in this memory 14 and the transmission to CHU are performed only when set data are changed from the preceding data stored in memory 14. For example, set data from analog and digital data setting part 16 and 17 are stored and transmitted as mentioned above and stored in memory 24 of CHU, whose contents are read to perform various adjustments and control.
