Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a multiple electric power supplier and to facilitate its adjustment by composing it of 90 deg. couplers and phase regulators. CONSTITUTION:The multiple power supplier consists of 90 deg. couplers 1 and 2, such as a branch line coupler and parallel type 3dB coupler, and phase regulators 3 and 4. Lengths l1 and l2 of phase regulators 3 and 4 are as shown by equation 1 [where (n) and (m) are natural numbers and lambda1 and lambda2 are wavelengths of frequencies f1 and f2 (f1<f2) of transmitted electric power]. Then, electric power f1 from terminal 6 and electric power f2 from terminal 5 are mixed together and the resulting output is sent to terminal 12. Further, unnecessary reflected waves in the 90 deg. couplers are absorbed by terminator 13 connected to terminal 11.
