Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a relay line dedicated to maintenance by using a general subscriber's line as a relay line for the maintenance of a central maintenance monitor center and automatic private branch exchange. CONSTITUTION:The KEY203 at the central maintenance monitor center side is connected to telephone set 202 side, and a PBX number is dialed by telephone set 202 to connect it to trunk 206 for the trunk line of private branch exchange 207 via general subscriber's line 204 and exchange 205. Exchange-side modem device 209 is connected to line circuit 208 through the intervention of an operation. After the connection, KEY203 is connected to maintenance modem device 201 side of the central maintenance monitor center by an answer signal that the exchange-side modem device 209 has been connected in the central maintenance monitor center side, and the maintenance of exchange 207 is executed by the maintenance controller 200 at the central maintenance monitor center side via the general subscriber's line. Consequently, a relay line dedicated to the maintenance is unnecessary.
