Abstract

PURPOSE:To answer to a suspended call via a different telephone set, by providing a suspended call information memory stored with information on the suspended call by relating it to the mechanical position or telephone number of an extension having performed the suspending operation. CONSTITUTION:When the call of extension telephone set 101A engaged with the main wire via office trunk 104 is to be transferred to another absent extension, office trunk 104 is held and then a holding request code is dialed. Once originating register 203 discriminates the holding request code, common controller 204 is actuated. Common controller 204 stores information on the mechanical equipment positions of telephone set 101A and trunk 104 in suspended call information memory 205. Next, telephone set 101A makes a call via calling trunk 201 by using speaker 202. As the transfer-destination subscriber makes a request for transfer by using nearby telephone set 101C, originating register 203 actuates common controller 204 to search said memory 205 by using the request for transfer, thereby transferring the suspended call.
