Abstract

PURPOSE:To protect transistors (TR) except one short-circuiting firstly, by connecting a diode to the base of one of TRs in parallel operation which has short-circuited while stopping the drive of other TRs on the short-circuit. CONSTITUTION:If TR1, for example, among TRs 1A-1N in parallel operation short-circuits between the collector and emitter, an overcurrent between the both cause a collector-emitter break. Further, the inflow of the overcurrent between the collector and base of TR 1A is stopped by diode 8A. Furthermore, the overcurrent is detected by current detector 9 and drive stop device 10 is put in operation to stop the operation of driving circuit 5, thereby stopping TRs 1B-1N from operating.
