Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate a fault, such as intermediate-frequency-range distortion, by using mixed magnetic powder for a two-layer-coat magnetic recording medium.
CONSTITUTION: On a nonmagnetic base, a lower magnetic layer of 3.0W6.0 microns in coating film thickness consisting of not less than two kinds of mixed magnetic powder having a coercive force of 400W560 Oe and a difference in coercive force of ≥80 oersted is provided, and on it, an upper magnetic layer of 1.5W 3.0 microns consisting of two kinds or more of mixed cabalt adsorbing τ-Fe2O3 magnetic powder having a coercive force of 590W800 Oe and a difference in coercive force of ≥80 Oe is provided to obtain a magnetic recording medium.
