CONSTITUTION:A fixing mechanims A is provided with a pair of rigid rolls 1, 2, and this fixing mechanism A is so constituted as to allow copying paper 3 to pass between a pair of these rolls 1, 2 and fixes the same by exerting powerful load from both ends to the other rigid roll with respect to one rigid roll. The surfaces of these rigid rolls 1, 2 are covered with enclosures 6, 7 consisting of antidewing members, except at the inlet and outlet sides of the nip region. Hence, the contact area with air is reduced and dewing is prevented.
