PURPOSE:To prevent a cutter from cutting not paper but the air, by providing a rolled paper end detector and a counter for starting on input of a detection signal of the detector and detecting arrival of the paper by the minimum feed length. CONSTITUTION:The forward end of rolled paper is detected with a detector after given time t3 from start of paper feed, and Lmin counter 32 starts counting on input of an end detection signal. Counter 32 is a device for detecting whether paper feed reaches the minimum feed length Lmin or not, and it serves also as a pulse generator for setting timing of the main copying machine. Counter 32 counts a number of pulses corresponding to given time t4, and detects that feed of the paper reaches Lmin, and original backward end detector 30 detects the backward end of the original. At that time cutter 23 starts to be driven, thus permitting miscutting of cutter 23 not to cccur.
