Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent adverse influence to be given on images by providing paper width detecting means and memory means for the minimum cut length of every paper width obtained from the amount of the slack formed and preventing the cut of less than the minimum cut length from the outputs thereof.

CONSTITUTION: A counter circuit starts counting by the signal from the pulse generating circuit which generates pulses according to the revolutions of paper feed rollers 2. It produces an output when the pulse count number having been selected by the paper width signal is reached. A latching circuit, upon receiving said output, makes latching operation to AND this and the original tailing end signal from an original detecting circuit and inputs the output thereof to a cutter driving circuit. Even if the original tailing end signal comes before the amount of paper feed reaches the minimum cut length for the paper width no outputs are generated, and at the time when the original tailing end signal comes after the minimum cut length, an output is generated so that a cutter 3 is operated by way of the cutter driving circuit. At this same instant, the drive roller 2a is stopped. In this way, the adverse influence to be given on images may be prevented irrespective of paper width.
