Abstract
PURPOSE:To force a pulse motor driving pulse not to be output in the stop of oscillation by controlling the gate of a pulse motor driving circuit by detecting an oscillation output. CONSTITUTION:When transmission gate 7a of oscillation detecting circuit 7 detects the frequency division output of frequency dividing circuit 2 being at a high level and capacitor 7b is charged, the high level output of capacitor 7 changes into an oscillation detection output to open AND gate 4a of driving circuit 4. As a result, a 1Hz pulse from waveform shaping circuit 3 is applied to binary FF4b and HAND gates 4c and 4d and electric current by the driving pulse applied to both terminals of driving coil 5 flows through coil 5, driving an analog indicating pointer, etc., by pulse motor 6. The system that applies the 1Hz driving pulse from being output only in this oscillation detection inhibits the pulse motor driving pulse from being output in the stop of oscillation and prevents the burning of the pulse motor and the shortening of battery life due to the continuous application of electric current.
