Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it easy to detect the secular change of a structure by detecting the energy value of each frequency component by converting vibration of the structure into an electric detected signal and then by dividing this detected signal into fixed frequency components.
CONSTITUTION: A structure is vibrated by striking and its vibration is converted into an electric detected signal by mechanoelectric converter 1. This detected signal is divided into fixed frequency components by filters BPF1WSPFn of dividing circuit 2 and components, after being amplified by amplifiers A1WAn of detecting circuit 3, are rectified by rectifiers D1WDn to obtain detection signals. Those detection signals are input to recorder RCDR successively and then frequency-energy characteristics are recorded on a recording body. A fixed period later, frequency- energy characteristics are also recorded in the same method. Those characteristics are compared, so that the secular change of the structure can easily be detected.
