Abstract

PURPOSE:To recover a wax without allowing its composition and properties to change by cooling and freezing the wax which is removed from an autoclave and has been removed of impurities, then allowing the same to sublimate in a vacuum state and removing moisture. CONSTITUTION:Molten wax is sent from an autoclave 1 into a wax storage tank 2 by opening a solenoid valve. The mixture of the settled wax and water is fed 3 into a filter tank 4. Impurities other than the wax and water are removed by the separating devices provided in multiple steps in the tank 4. In this case, the tank 2 and the tank 4 have beforehand been heated respectively. Next, the mixture of the wax and water having been removed of impurities is put through a wax tray 5 into a wax freezing device 6, where it is quick-frozen 7 down to -50 deg.C. Thereafter, the frozen mixture of the wax and water is put into a vacuum device 8, and the inside of the device 8 is kept in a high vacuum state, whereby the sublimation of the mixture is accelerated and the wax is dehydrated rapidly. After the dehydrated wax is melted, it is refined in a tank 12, thence it is used again for molding of patterns.
