Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce a decorative constructional board having a deep-shade feeling, by applying a paint of high luminosity as an undercoat layer, and then spreading color grains of low luminosity onto the constructional board having concavities and convexities, on the stage of decoratively finishing the constructional board.
CONSTITUTION: A constructional board 1, e.g., asbestos cement board, has a surface containing concavities 2 and convexities 3. To decoratively finish the surface of the board 1, a paint of high luminosity, e.g., white, is applied as an undercoat layer 4 onto the surface by a flow coater or the like. Before the paint is cured, color grains 5 (particle size of about 0.5W1.5mm) of low luminosity, e.g., gray, are spread onto the surface. The density of the grains at the concavities 2 is higher than that at the convexities 3, so that the concavities have a dark color effective in the provision of a deep-shade feeling. Consequently, the constructional board having the deep-shade feeling can be produced by the choice of the color and the coating method of the concaved and convexed board surface.
