Abstract
PURPOSE:To simply manufacture a pulse laser device having high average output and high multiple frequency by generating in an oscillation part high-frequency discharge by silent discharge excitation and by giving the high-frequency power source thereof a controlling function generating the silent discharge at high speed repeatedly. CONSTITUTION:Glass dielectrics 17 and 18 to which lining is applied are provided on the outer periphery of metal pipes 15 and 16 and the pipes 15 and 16 are cooled by deionized water. Between these pipes 16 and 15, discharge parts 21 and 22 are formed in the direction of an optical axis and in the direction perpendicular to the former, while at both ends of the discharge part 22 a rotally-reflecting mirror 24 and a partially-reflecting mirror 23 for taking out laser output are arranged respectively. Between these dielectrics 17 and 18 an AC power source 25 for silent discharge is connected so as to be able to maintain the discharge parts 21 and 22. And, the AC power source 25 being set as a high-frequency circuit, the high voltage exceeding a prescribed value is supplied to maintain the discharge parts 21 and 22, while a repeated pulse is set at high frequency so that output laser beams 26 having high average output can be obtained.
