Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled die which has an evenly broadened slit and produces a uniform distribution of flow rate of a material by a method wherein a passage having a length gradually increasing from the center part toward the end parts of the die is provided downstream of a straight manifold, and a slit having a gradually decreasing length is provided downstream the passage. CONSTITUTION:The passage 14 having a gap slightly smaller than that of the straight manifold 5 is provided downstream the manifold 5 in such a manner that the length of the passage 14 increases from the central part toward the end parts of the die. The slit 15 having a gap greatly reduced as compared with that of the passage 14 is provided downstream the passage 14 in such a manner that the length of the slit 15 is decreased from the central part toward the end parts of the die. The resin supplied through a resin inlet port 4 flows into the manifold 5, and is spread as indicated by arrows to exhibit a uniform distribution of flow rate while passing through the passage 14 and the slit 15.
