Abstract
PURPOSE:To arrange so that a correct measurement may be made automatically by correcting a specific gravity obtained at a propagation velocity of supersonic wave and seeking a true specific gravity of electrolytic solution. CONSTITUTION:In an electrolytic solution 13 inside a container 12, the body of supersonic-type hydrometer 11 is horizontally provided. An arithmetic control part 14 operates and displays a signal transmitted from the body of hydrometer 11 or transmits a switching signal. At the same time, the said part transmits a signal, in response to which a switchover is made by means of ultrasonic wave to a transmission/reception system and a temperature measurement system so that an exciting signal is supplied to a transmission/reception element of the body of hydrometer 11, and a DA power supply is supplied to a temperature sensor by a switching part 15. A DA power supply for a temperature sensor is built in the switching part 15. However, said power supply may be incorporated in a signal conversion part 16 which transmits an exciting signal to a transmission/reception element for the body of hydrometer 11 or converts an ultrasonic propagation time of the transmission/reception element properly to a signal and transmits said signal to a control part 12.
