The tape driving device is controlled to a low speed forward traveling state in accordance with a signal of frequency of almost nf1, which has been read out from the tape 1 when the tape is in a forward traveling state or in an opposite traveling stage at a high speed, and the traveling driving device 8 is controlled to a stop state in accordance with an end signal which has been read out from the tape 1 when the tape 1 is in a low speed forward traveling state.
