Abstract
PURPOSE:To permit an atomic absorption photometry to be speeded up and highly accurate by making the sample injection part and the atomic absorption part detachable from each other. CONSTITUTION:A sample injection part 1 and an atomic absorption part 2 are separately composed. The sample injection part 1, which is provided with a vent hole 4, is filled with porous graphite grains 3 larger than the diameter of the vent hole 4, and the atomic absorption part 2 is provided with a sample injection part- fixing hole 8. A sample weighed out is injected into the sample injection part 1, which is prepared in the same number as samples, absorbed on the porous graphite grains 3, and dried. After that, the sample injection part 1 is inserted into the sample injection part-fixing hole 8, and a proper amount of current is passed. After the sample is reduced to ashes by Joule's heat produced, the objective element is atomized. Atomic vapor of the objective element produced is introduced to the atomic absorption part 2 by using a carrier gas to perform an atomic absorption photometry.
