Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent toner staining of an optical exposure sytem, by providing a projected line protuberant to the circumference of a photoreceptor along a slit formed through a partition wall for separating the optical system from the other devices, and changing air flow near the circumference of the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:Projected line 16 is formed along the upstream side of a slit 15 for the light path of an optical exposure system is provided covering the entire width of receptor 5 so as to keep gap d1. Air flow caused by rotation of receptor 5 in the direction of arrow (B) in the vicinity of the circumference of receptor 5 is bended in its course by projected line 16, thus permitting the toner attached to the circumference of receptor 5 to be carried on the air flow, leaving the circumference, and landing on partition wall 14, and not to fall on slit 15.
