CONSTITUTION:In the range finding mechanism which is provided with a light emitting device and a photodetector disposed for an object at the spacing of a prescribed base length and obtains the distance up to the object from the angle that the optical axes of both devices assume at the peak time of the quantity of reflected light from the object, if a guide member 11 is rotated at prescribed torque, a regulating member 8 is displaced around the other guide member 10 as shown by the alternate long and short dash line. The maximum rate of adjustment of the member 11 is about 2delta near the member 11, by which the cam part 8a of the regulating member is displaced and the angle of the light emitting device with respect to the object is slightly changed.
