Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a groove wick heat pipe having high performance in which capillary force functions in the circumferential direction by a method wherein a cylindrical wick is formed by spirally winding a band plate to which teeth is made up at regular intervals in the longitudinal direction, and installed into the heat pipe.
CONSTITUTION: A beltlike falt plate 2 to which teeth 1 are punched is wound spirally directing teeth inward, grooves 5 are built up arranging teeth, and a cylindrical wick 3 is formed, and installed into a heat pipe vessel 4. According to this constitution, a working liquid flows in the axial direction in the grooves 5 while also capable of flowing in the circumferential direction in capillary tubes among the plates, and a wick 3 effect can be improved. Thus, a groove wick heat pipe having excellent performance is obtained.
