Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to perform a firing operation by means of a high-pressure spark discharge without the use of an AC power source, by a method wherein amplifying and oscillating circuits are formed using integrated circuits and transistors, and the output is connected to an ignition coil to generate a high-voltage.
CONSTITUTION: In a firing device including positive and negative electrodes 19 and 20 positioned in the proximity of a nozzle tip of a gun type oil burner, an integrated circuit A, mounted in an ignition device body, consists of an oscillating circuit B and an amplification circuit C. When a DC current, supplied from positie and negative electrodes 12 and 13, is energized with a push-buttom switch 6 for sparking turned on, an output having an optional number of oscillations is generated in the oscillation circuit B through the proper combination of a capacitor 9 and a resistor 10, and is amplified in the amplification circuit C by means of a transistor 11. Additionally, an ignition coil 4 generates a sufficient high-voltage, and spark is caused to occur in a spark position 21 to enable fuel to be fired.
