Abstract
PURPOSE: To smoothly carry on the running of a four wheel type agricultural tractor on a muddy place in a rice field or the like by vertically movably mounting a pair of swingable arms respectively on the right and left sides at an intermediate position between a pair of front and rear wheels and by rotatably mounting a pair of auxiliary wheels respectively on the tips of the arms.
CONSTITUTION: In a four wheel type agricultural tractor, the power of an engine 3 is transmitted to a pair of right and left front wheels 1, 2 and also to a pair of right and left rear wheels 6, 7 by means of chains 11, 11 which are wound over front and rear power transmission cases 9, 10. Inside the right ans left power transmission cases 9, 10, vertically swingable arms 12, 13 are provided in such a way that each of the arms 12, 13 extends from a rear wheel shaft 8 to a respective intermediate position between a pair of the front and rear wheels. On the front ends of the vertically swingable arms 12, 13 are respectively mounted auxiliary wheels 14, 14. Then, the rotation of the shaft 8 is transmitted to the auxiliary wheels 14, 14 by means of the chains 11, 11. The vertically swingable arms 12, 13 are swung by the operation of a hydraulic cylinder 16 and, incase of running on a muddy place, the auxiliary wheels are grounded to the earth.
