Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct uneven recording owing to fluctuation of the moving speed of a rotary drum by controlling a logic gate etc. according to the varying lengths of the encoder pulse periods corresponding to the number of lines of the rotary drum thereby correcting dot information. CONSTITUTION:The pulses corresponding to the number of lines of a rotary drum 1 are generated by way of a rotary encoder 20, a sensor 21, etc., and according to the leading edge and trailing edge of these pulses, pulses are generated from a trigger circuit 24. On the other hand, 32 pieces etc. of pulses corresponding to the number of characters of one line from a character line pulse generator 35 are counted with a counter 26, and are compared with a comparator 27 in which a predetermined number 32 etc. are set. When the rotating speed of the drum 1 is fast and a reset output for an RS type FF25 is generated before a coincidence output is generated from the comparator 27, an NAND gate G3 is closed by way of an AND gate G1, and the application of the dot in the final part of the line from a character generator 31 to a scanning reproducer 2 is inhibited. Similarly, the correction of the case when the drum 1 is slow is accomplished, whereby the correction for uneven recording owing to the fluctuation of the drum speed is accomplished surely.
