Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the long expanding or contracting stroke by a method wherein the air spring is constituted by a proper requested number of bellows adhered and engaged between two sheets of end panels and a proper number of sheets of intermediate panels. CONSTITUTION:The air spring, well adapted to an elevating means for a rotary shaft equipped with mixing blades at the lower end thereof and being utilized in a soft ground improving device, is comprizing two sheets of circular end panels 1 and a plural number (three sheets, for example) of circulr intermediate panels 2 having somewhat smaller diameters than those of the end panels 1. The bellows 3 made of an elastic member such as rubber or the like and having four lanes of bellows are interposed between these end panels 1 and the intermediate panels 2 while cushion rings 30 are fitted at the root parts of the bellows 3. For this purpose, engaging pawls 10, 20 for adhesively engaging the end parts of the bellows 3 are fixed on one face of the end panel 1 and both of the surfaces of the intermediate panels 2. Guide arms 22 engaging with guide pipes (not shown) are provided at the ends of the outer peripheries of the intermediate panels 2.
