Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of nonwelded part between electrodes and to improve welding quality, by supplying a pulselike arc current to plural electrodes arranged on the welding line so that the current may overlap each other, and then moving the arc successively.
CONSTITUTION: One of switching elements 21 connected to a plural electrodes 26 is turned on, and the arc is generated by the high-frequency arc starter, and then the arc is moved successively by turning on or off switching element 21 of each electrode 26 by controlling device 22, and thus the welding is performed. At this time, the arc is ignited successively and stably by supplying a small current necessary to maintain the arc to all electrode 26 through resistance 25 connected to switching elements 21 in parallel.
