Abstract
PURPOSE:To control a hoop temperature at the exit of a furnace to a target temperature with high accuracy, by dividing both furnaces to entrance side and exit side, and applying feed-back and feed-forward controls respectively in a steel hoop annealing equipment consisting of a soaking and a cooling furnaces. CONSTITUTION:After passing through a soaking furnace, a cold rolled hoop is annealed by cooling in a cooling furnace having a number of jet coolers. In this case, the soaking and cooling furnaces are partitioned into entrance and exit zones, and one or plural zones at the exit side are made to feed-back control zones, which are set to have 50% of their full capacities of heating or cooling at the time of presetting to detect temperature at the exit of furnace. For the deviation of the target value, it can be controlled by the capability alternation with a rapid response. Meanwhile, besides these zones, one or plural zones at the entrance side are made to the feed- forward control zones, which control properly the sheet temperature so as to attain hoop temperature at the furnace exit to the target temperature.
