Abstract

PURPOSE: To form a sheet which has less secular change in its adhesive force and which temporally protects easily exfoliatable surface of articles, by applying a water emulsion component composed of a specified component as the adhesive component on the self-supporting sheet and drying to cause cross-linking.
CONSTITUTION: The base monomer is prepared with an alkyl(meta) acrylate monomer (the number of C in the alkyl group is 1W8) or by adding a vinyl monomer (eg. styrene) which is copolymerizable with the former. Then the water emulsion is prepared by adding 1W10 pts.wt. of a copolymerizable monomer containing a COOH group (eg. acrylic acid) and 0.05W5pts.wt. of a copolymerizable divinyl monomer (eg. divinyl benzene) to 100pts.wt. this base monomer, and by performing an emulsion polymerization. Then, after 1W20pts.wt. of an urea-HCHO initially condensed material and/or melamine-HCHO primary condensation product are added to 100pts.wt. this emulsion, they are applied on the self-supporting sheet and then dried. In this way, the objective surface protection sheet which forms a cross- linked acrylic rubber layer, is formed.
