Abstract
PURPOSE: To form a titled catalyst which forms acrylonitrile at high yields and high selection rates by firing an oxide composition contg. Sn, Sb, W, V and specific metals then impregnating the same with liquid contg. the compounds of said specific metals and firing the same.
CONSTITUTION: The composition of metal oxides contg. Sn, Sb, W, V and further metal elements of one or more kinds of the group consisting of Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Mg and Bi are fired at about 700W1,000°C. Thence, this fired oxide is impregnated or sprayed with an aqueous soln. or suspension contg. the compound of the metals of one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of the above- mentioned Cr and various metals of the rest as well as Te, after which it is fired at about 500W800°C. If the resultant Sn-Sb-contg. catalyst is used for vapor-phase contact ammoxidation reaction of propylene, the high degree of conversion of propylene, and the high yield and high selection rate of acrilonitrile are achieved.
