Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the yield of serum with a quick blood coagulaion and an improved separation of serum from clot by forming a thin film on the inner wall surface of a plastic container for blood inspection with a low temperaure plasma copolymerizatin of organosilane. CONSTITUTION:In a plastic blood inspection container 6 (spits) made of polystylene or the like, a belljar 1 is exhausted through an exhaust tube 2 and one or more organosilanes selected from vinyl silane, alkoxy silane, alkyl silane, aryl silane, acetoxy silane, halogen silane, siloxane and silazane sent through an inlet 7 under vacuum. A plasma copolymerization is made with an electrode 4 of a high frequency generator 3 to form a thin film at a thickness exceeding 50Angstrom on the inner surface of the spits 6 on a support base 5. The thin film thus formed is resistant to wear with a high hardness enough to overcome any scratch by cleaning after use. The blood is coagulated quickly with a greater separaion of serum from clot than it would be when the plastic surface is left exposed.
