Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently clean a coke oven door in a short time, by providing a rotary cleaner which is pressed to the surface of the door, to which a dried firm tar etc. have adhered, and which scrapes said surface of the door with revolution.
CONSTITUTION: Carriers 2, 2' including rotary cleaners 5, 5' are closely engaged with channels 11, 11' on the both sides of upright frame 1, into which coke oven door 3 is inserted. A high-pressure fluid is supplied through supply pipe 24 to pressurized oil pipes 22, 24 of the carriers 2, 2'. With a alternating vartical movement of the carriers 2, 2', bottom cleaner 5' of a upwardly moving carrier is pushed out and pressed to the surface of the door, and revolved in the direction of scraping, to effect cleaning, when top cleaner 5 is separated from the surface of the door by being backwardly moved by means of spring 8, while a downwardly moving carrier is pressed to the surface of the door with rotation in the direction similar to that of the top cleaner 5 and scrapes a dried tar etc. The inner concave of a knife edge is cleaned by the ejection of a high-pressure fluid through edge scraper 10 at the tip of movable arms 6, 6' of the carriers 2, 2'.
