Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the effect of preventing the rust from adhering, by incorporating boric acid (salt) or phosphoric acid (salt) as a rust preventive, into a nonasbestos friction material based on a rubber material contg. sulfur or halogen and contg. no ferrous components. CONSTITUTION:The purpose friction mateial is obtd. by incorporating at least one of boric acid, a borate, phosphoric acid and a phosphate as a rust preventive, into a nonasbestos friction material consisting of an org. friction dust, an inorg. powder, a lubricant, a nonferrous metal powder and/or a nonferrous metal fiber, a fibrous reinforcing material, a binder made of a thermosetting resin and other friction adjustor, contg. a rubber dust contg. sulfur or halogen, a rubber binder or other materials but contg. no ferrous component.
