PURPOSE:To obtain superior pictures free from unevenness by preventing the semiconductor substrate of the liquid-crystal picture display panel of a liquid-crystal television, etc., from deforming by sealing a hole so that an injected liquid-crystal material has a difference in pressure from the atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Silicon substrate 13 having about 300mum thickness and having surface layer 18 in which a switching element, capacitor, etc., have been integrated, and glass electrode plate 14 having transparent electrode 15 are sealed at their circumference with spacer adhesives 19 containing glass fiber having about 9mum diameter, and liquid-crystal material 16 is injected from injection hole 23. During this liquid-crystal material injection, liquid-crystal material 16 is injected from injection hole 23 at a pressure a little bit higher than the atmosphere by using vacuum chuck 26 with adsorption surface 27 of plane precision is used while substrate 13 is adsorbed, and then the hole is sealed before the vacuum is released. When substrate 13 has outward curvature, the pressure is held lower than the atmosphere to the contrary and in another way, a vacuum chuck having a projection surface inside of it is used for the adjustment.
